Jeanette A. Bolton, 86, of Tomah, died, Thursday April 12, 2012 at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born May 11, 1925 to Edwin and Rosella (Schmasow) Kuehl in the Town of Tomah. She attended Council Creek Country School. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1943. She was united in marriage to Robert Bolton on November 22, 1944 at Sparta. Together they farmed in the Town of LaGrange until 2001. She worked many years at Schultz Brothers Store, and later she worked at Tomah Memorial Hospital in the Dietary Department for over thirty years until her retirement in 2002. She was a faithful member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Most important to Jeanette was her family. She loved babysitting for her great-grandchildren, and if 5 of them wanted a different type of treat, Jeanette would make 5 different types of treats. She was always smiling and treated people like there were family. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert, a son Duane Robert (Paulette) Bolton of Tomah, a daughter Jean Marie (Francis) Ruland, Jr. of Tomah, 5 grandchildren: Shelly (Dan) Buttner, Amy (Mike) Zebro, Renae (Jason) Thompson Tonya (Tim)Schroeder, Aaron (Laura) Ruland, 15 Great-grandchildren: Kaleigh, Kelsey and Dylan Buttner, Shawn Johnson, Lyndsi Smith, Kyle Zebro, Tyler, Jami and Makenzie Parker, Alex Martin and Jazmine Thompson, Patric and Peter Schroeder, Jarrett and Jaxon Ruland, 3 brothers, Roland Kuehl of Warrens, Gerald (Janice) Kuehl and David Kuehl, both of Helenville, a sister-in-law Marguerite Seflow of Tomah, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Rosella (Bertha), 2 brothers Gary and Donald Keuhl, 3 sisters, Darlene (Horace) Lemmons, Joyce (Jim) Kelley, and Lois (Dean) Schattuck, a sister-in-law Carol Kuehl, a brother-in-law Leonard Seflow and a nephew Danny Kuehl.
Funeral services will be held, Monday April 16, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1221 LaGrange Tomah. Pastor Mark W. Benning will officiate. Burial will be at the La Grange Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until time of the service.
