Charles “Chuck” J. Wilson, Sr., 64 of Tomah, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse. He was born on December 1, 1947 to Roland “Bud” and Elnora (Felgenhauer) Wilson at Harvard, IL. He grew up in the Shennington area and graduated from Tomah High School in 1965. He was united in marriage to Ethel Finch. He worked at the Hiawatha Golf Course for several years and Highlights Manufacturing in Sparta. He was a quiet laid back person who enjoyed fishing around the area and spending time tinkering outside. He is survived by 2 sons Charles John, Jr. of Minneapolis,MN, Fred (Tree) of La Crosse, a daughter Jennifer (Rick) Bunker of Bangor, 2 grandchildren, Taylor Schmeckpeper and Noshoba Wilson, 2 sisters Annette Baker of Tomah, and Doris Banas of Wonder Lake, IL, 3 brothers Edward (Diana), Glen (Diane) both of Tomah and Thomas (Janet) of Camp Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant grandson Nicholas Schmeckpeper, a sister Joan Scheppa, an infant brother Robert, a brother-in-law Thomas Baker.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012, 8:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor Dennis Frost will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah.
